Narrative:
Taking runway and cleared for takeoff on runway 9L, heard tower assign heading 040 degrees. First officer responded heading 040 degrees. At 400 ft, began left turn and tower called to turn right to 140 degrees as cleared. We were at V2 +20 KTS and went to 30 degree bank turn. Tower then said turn to 180 degrees. We complied. Tower said original heading was 140 degrees.

Narrative: TAKING RWY AND CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 9L, HEARD TWR ASSIGN HDG 040 DEGS. FO RESPONDED HDG 040 DEGS. AT 400 FT, BEGAN L TURN AND TWR CALLED TO TURN R TO 140 DEGS AS CLRED. WE WERE AT V2 +20 KTS AND WENT TO 30 DEG BANK TURN. TWR THEN SAID TURN TO 180 DEGS. WE COMPLIED. TWR SAID ORIGINAL HDG WAS 140 DEGS.
