Narrative:
Notified by the captain that there was a possible problem with the landing gear -- flat tire and/or frozen brakes. Advised to prepare the cabin for emergency landing in sfo. Captain made announcement to passenger, flight attendants performed emergency landing demonstration in aisle. Each flight attendant proceeded to follow emergency checklist. Passenger remained calm throughout. Landed without incident and towed to the gate. Captain advised us in post landing briefing that the indicator was the problem. No injuries occurred.

Title: MD80 FLC PREPARE CABIN ATTENDANTS AND PAX FOR A POSSIBLE LNDG PROB DUE TO AN UNSAFE LNDG GEAR EXTEND INDICATION. LNDG WAS NORMAL AND PROB FOUND TO BE FAULTY GEAR POS INDICATOR.
Narrative: NOTIFIED BY THE CAPT THAT THERE WAS A POSSIBLE PROB WITH THE LNDG GEAR -- FLAT TIRE AND/OR FROZEN BRAKES. ADVISED TO PREPARE THE CABIN FOR EMER LNDG IN SFO. CAPT MADE ANNOUNCEMENT TO PAX, FLT ATTENDANTS PERFORMED EMER LNDG DEMO IN AISLE. EACH FLT ATTENDANT PROCEEDED TO FOLLOW EMER CHKLIST. PAX REMAINED CALM THROUGHOUT. LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND TOWED TO THE GATE. CAPT ADVISED US IN POST LNDG BRIEFING THAT THE INDICATOR WAS THE PROB. NO INJURIES OCCURRED.
