Narrative:
Working approach and being vectored for visual to runway 1 at kansas city downtown, approach asked if we had downtown in sight. Reply was yes. We were cleared for a visual approach. Traffic out of your turn 1:30-2 O'clock position, 1-1 1/2 mi at 2900 ft, ATC suggested 2500 ft to get below traffic. Out of our turn traffic was 12 O'clock position and 100 ft above us.
