Narrative:
High speed abort due to severe vibration. At 100 KTS aircraft began shaking severely. The captain aborted takeoff and used differential braking to control direction. Nosewheel steering was not available. After clearing the runway and stopping, maintenance personnel determined the nose gear scissors had lost its knuckle pin. It was replaced and then we taxied back to the gate. The vibration caused extensive damage to interior ceiling panels, luggage racks, and east&east equipment racks. Door 3R came open. All procedures and checks were normal during taxi out and subsequent takeoff roll to 100 KTS. At that time the pin for the nose gear scissors must have come out.
