Narrative:
After having started the right engine at mex, the right generator off light was on and higher than normal egt. The attempt to close 13TH stage bleed valve per manual, I advanced right engine throttle. N2 rose to normal idle, right generator came on line, but egt then rose to 580 degrees. Shut down engine to avoid exceeding post start overtemp limit of 590 degrees. Restarted right engine normally using right engine anti-ice on, per manual. Made information to maintenance per operation manual starting procedure.
