Narrative:
On the morning of 9/tue/01 I landed in hays, ks, enroute to little rock, ar. I became aware of the situation in nyc and decided to return to bjc (denver area). I was briefed on WX and NOTAMS the evening of 9/mon/01. I called FSS, recording said IFR flts discontinued. I called bjc, said I could fly in, but no takeoffs. I departed hys, local airport operations personnel recommended not to fly. After departure I monitored frequency. Approximately 20 miles east of 18V was contacted on frequency asked to go to 121.5. Talk to F16 told to land as soon as possible. Landed at 18V after advised of intentions.
