Narrative:
An agreement between atl approach control and ZTL specifies altitude and departure gate assignments for aircraft depending on their type and route of flight. This aircraft, flight XXX, should have been cleared through the number two gate, but was cleared through the number one gate by atl approach, resulting in an airspace violation. This violation was reported to the ZTL supervisor, but I am unaware of the results of their investigation, if any.
