Narrative:
Upon taking over aircraft, logbook was checked for 1) daily check. 2) airworthiness check. 3) MEL. We missed an open item for 'right engine oil pressure light.' we found this in cruise flight. Notified maintenance of situation. On shutdown the light worked fine. We were just rushing from another gate, long day, 3 different aircraft and missed the item.
