Narrative:
During taxi out at lga, ground controller changed SID climb out. We were assigned taxiway P to hold short of runway 22 en route runway 13. This was about 100 yards prior to stop point. I was reading the new climb out out loud to the captain and as he was stopping the aircraft the ground controller directed our aircraft to stop. Captain completed the stop immediately. The nose of the aircraft was slightly past the stop line. Several other aircraft had also had SID changes, but each of those received the change with their initial taxi instructions vice as they neared the departure end of the runway as was our case. It was dusk and difficult to see the stop line and the lighted runway sign was not co-located with the line -- it was closer to the runway and distracting. I was reading the departure so the captain would not have to look down, but not monitoring the stop closely. We misjudged the level of distraction and also were not aware enough of the decreasing light conditions.

Title: B757 CAPT STOPPED OVER THE RWY HOLD SHORT LINE AFTER CTLR INTERVENED AND GAVE THE STOPPING ORDER. THE CAPT HAD ALREADY COMMENCED STOPPING, BUT DID NOT SEE THE HOLD SHORT LINE DUE TO THE DUSK LIGHTING CONDITIONS HAD NOT OBSERVED THE HOLD SHORT LINE.
Narrative: DURING TAXI OUT AT LGA, GND CTLR CHANGED SID CLBOUT. WE WERE ASSIGNED TXWY P TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22 ENRTE RWY 13. THIS WAS ABOUT 100 YARDS PRIOR TO STOP POINT. I WAS READING THE NEW CLBOUT OUT LOUD TO THE CAPT AND AS HE WAS STOPPING THE ACFT THE GND CTLR DIRECTED OUR ACFT TO STOP. CAPT COMPLETED THE STOP IMMEDIATELY. THE NOSE OF THE ACFT WAS SLIGHTLY PAST THE STOP LINE. SEVERAL OTHER ACFT HAD ALSO HAD SID CHANGES, BUT EACH OF THOSE RECEIVED THE CHANGE WITH THEIR INITIAL TAXI INSTRUCTIONS VICE AS THEY NEARED THE DEP END OF THE RWY AS WAS OUR CASE. IT WAS DUSK AND DIFFICULT TO SEE THE STOP LINE AND THE LIGHTED RWY SIGN WAS NOT CO-LOCATED WITH THE LINE -- IT WAS CLOSER TO THE RWY AND DISTRACTING. I WAS READING THE DEP SO THE CAPT WOULD NOT HAVE TO LOOK DOWN, BUT NOT MONITORING THE STOP CLOSELY. WE MISJUDGED THE LEVEL OF DISTR AND ALSO WERE NOT AWARE ENOUGH OF THE DECREASING LIGHT CONDITIONS.
