Narrative:
Under VFR conditions we departed ZZZ1 runway 27 and immediately turned north climbed to 4000 ft and then after a few miles turned southwest to ZZZ2 VOR. Was showing ZZZ2 at 240 degrees and 13 miles. We flew straight into upwind for runway 24 at ZZZ2 tower of class D was closed. We announced on CTAF prior to entry into class D and also position reporting for upwind. From pattern altitude, crosswind and left downwind for runway 24, left base and final for runway 24. Touch and go climbed to 1400 ft turned left and headed straight to ZZZ1, landed at runway 27. 10 mins later sheriff deputy from ZZZ3 county showed up at airport and asked for identification and also asked us to fill out report for FAA, which I did and the deputy left. We did not violate any airspace or tfr or anything. Sheriff deputy did not tell us what it was about also. I don't know what it was about. I am reporting this to you upon recommendation of aviation org. I have not heard anything from anybody. It may be a case of mistaken identify. My entire flight was on my dual navigation GPS.

Title: SMA PLT WAS INTERROGATED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AFTER COMPLETION OF THE FLT.
Narrative: UNDER VFR CONDITIONS WE DEPARTED ZZZ1 RWY 27 AND IMMEDIATELY TURNED N CLBED TO 4000 FT AND THEN AFTER A FEW MILES TURNED SW TO ZZZ2 VOR. WAS SHOWING ZZZ2 AT 240 DEGS AND 13 MILES.
