Narrative:

Upon completion of job card land CAT III capability test and log book sign off I failed to notice a change to the job card that stated: note: to be accomplished by CAT certified personnel. Re-certify aircraft to CAT III status. Be sure to create a separate item that only addresses the CAT status. Refer to maintenance procedure and policy if needed. I later realized that I should also have made a second logbook entry stating: no open log items in CAT system. Aircraft remains certified to CAT ii/IIIA/IIIB status. This is a poorly written job card as it states 're-certify.' this is a routine card issued every 30 days to aircraft in service that have not been 'decertified,' so the word 're-certify' needs to be changed.
