Narrative:
At approximately XA35L I was working a mid-shift when joshua/edw approach called and advised me fort irwin/R2502E was hot/in use FL280 and below. When the day shift came in, I forgot to brief them that the airspace was hot. During the day shift, one aircraft entered the restricted airspace FL281, climbing. At approximately XI30L, joshua called and advised airspace was cold. Through investigation, we found only one aircraft to have entered the restricted airspace. According to the letter of agreement between joshua and ZLA, it states joshua will approve the use of the airspace with the omic/amic. When on the mid-shift at this time, there is only an omic working. Also, the electronic status information area (esia) is supposed to be updated. Since the controllers working mid's have received no training on how to update the esia, procedure were not followed according to the LOA. I believe that's the cause for the mishap.
