Narrative:
After being pushed back off the gate and deiced, we received clearance to taxi to runway 35. We taxied down the ramp and attempted to turn right onto taxiway a. The aircraft started turning, but after about 30 degrees of turn, stopped tracking and continued straight ahead. Braking and further turning the nosewheel did not seem to help. The aircraft came to a stop with the left main and nose wheels outside of the taxiway lights. The aircraft did not depart the taxiway surface, but the nosewheel had fully deflected to the right and would not turn back to the left. We requested a tug and were pulled onto the taxiway and back to the gate for gear inspection. No damage to aircraft, but 2 taxiway lights were damaged. No injuries to passenger or crew. Lesson: you can't taxi slow enough during slippery winter WX.
