Primary Problem | Passenger Human Performance |
Narrative:
Passenger mr X boarded the aircraft. A young woman had been assigned the same seat and was already occupying seat. Mr X obviously intimidated this woman who then vacated the seat. Mr X then sat down. Flight attendant X got involved when mr X yelled at him 'hey, we have a situation here.' flight attendant X got mr X a new seat assignment at which point refused to move and said he was not going to move to other seat. Flight attendant X informed mr X that he would need to take his new seat because the flight was full. Passenger refused and then got up and physically shoved flight attendant X twice. Flight attendant X told the agent he wanted this passenger removed from the aircraft. Being the purser on this flight, I backed up flight attendant X. I will not have passenger assaulting my flight attendants. The captain agreed with my decision and passenger mr X was removed from the flight along with his daughter and grandson. We subsequently found out that mr X had argued with agents prior to boarding because their seats were not together.
