Narrative:
While completing the takeoff performance for flight from phx to ZZZ, I noticed an unusually high difference between our maximum V1 and vr. I mentioned this to the captain and rechecked all performance parameters. After rechecking all the performance criteria provided to me on the flight release, the takeoff performance remained the same, ie, maximum takeoff weight, V1, vr, V2, reduced thrust (flex), etc. Takeoff, climb and cruise were uneventful. Shortly after reaching cruise altitude, the captain said he discovered why we had a discrepancy in the performance numbers. We had the wrong flight release. The captain had picked up the release for flight YYY, also phx to ZZZ. Leaving approximately 3 hours earlier. Flight YYY was an A319, this, the difference in performance numbers. The flight continued and landed without incident. Many contributing factors led to this error. All flight releases are put in a numerical bin with the destination written on the front. Flts YYY to XXX left from the same concourse thus the releases were sent to the same location and thus put in the same numerical bin. Both flts were phx - ZZZ. Flts YYY to XXX were both airbus aircraft, thus no difference was noted in airspeed, altitude, route, etc. Flight YYY departed approximately 3 hours earlier. The release should have been removed from the bin. The captain did not check to ensure he had the right release, ie, flight number, tail number, etc.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN A320 CREW DEPARTED KPHX WITH THE WRONG DISPATCH RELEASE.
Narrative: WHILE COMPLETING THE TKOF PERFORMANCE FOR FLT FROM PHX TO ZZZ, I NOTICED AN UNUSUALLY HIGH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR MAXIMUM V1 AND VR. I MENTIONED THIS TO THE CAPT AND RECHECKED ALL PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS. AFTER RECHECKING ALL THE PERFORMANCE CRITERIA PROVIDED TO ME ON THE FLT RELEASE, THE TKOF PERFORMANCE REMAINED THE SAME, IE, MAX TKOF WEIGHT, V1, VR, V2, REDUCED THRUST (FLEX), ETC. TKOF, CLIMB AND CRUISE WERE UNEVENTFUL. SHORTLY AFTER REACHING CRUISE ALT, THE CAPT SAID HE DISCOVERED WHY WE HAD A DISCREPANCY IN THE PERFORMANCE NUMBERS. WE HAD THE WRONG FLT RELEASE. THE CAPT HAD PICKED UP THE RELEASE FOR FLT YYY, ALSO PHX TO ZZZ. LEAVING APPROX 3 HRS EARLIER. FLT YYY WAS AN A319, THIS, THE DIFFERENCE IN PERFORMANCE NUMBERS. THE FLT CONTINUED AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MANY CONTRIBUTING FACTORS LED TO THIS ERROR. ALL FLT RELEASES ARE PUT IN A NUMERICAL BIN WITH THE DEST WRITTEN ON THE FRONT. FLTS YYY TO XXX LEFT FROM THE SAME CONCOURSE THUS THE RELEASES WERE SENT TO THE SAME LOCATION AND THUS PUT IN THE SAME NUMERICAL BIN. BOTH FLTS WERE PHX - ZZZ. FLTS YYY TO XXX WERE BOTH AIRBUS ACFT, THUS NO DIFFERENCE WAS NOTED IN AIRSPD, ALT, RTE, ETC. FLT YYY DEPARTED APPROX 3 HRS EARLIER. THE RELEASE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE BIN. THE CAPT DID NOT CHECK TO ENSURE HE HAD THE RIGHT RELEASE, IE, FLT NUMBER, TAIL NUMBER, ETC.
