Narrative:
Outbound aircraft had an open log item stating nosewheel continues to spin excessively after retraction. ZZZ maintenance was to repair item. Spacers were added to the nosewheel snubbers and the airplane was released from maintenance. Our flight to ict was completed without incident. We changed airplanes in ict. The first officer picking up our airplane accomplished his walkaround and reported finding a bag of tools in the nosewheel. I inspected the tool bag which was about 5 ft by 4 ft. It contained several opened wrenches, etc. It was located just below the scissor extension arm. A handy location to lay tools.

Title: A B737-300 CREW FLEW AN ACFT FROM ZZZ TO ICT AFTER MAINT ON THE NOSE GEAR. DURING PREFLT AT ICT, THE OUTBOUND FO FOUND A SMALL BAG OF TOOLS IN THE NOSE GEAR WHEEL WELL.
Narrative: OUTBOUND ACFT HAD AN OPEN LOG ITEM STATING NOSEWHEEL CONTINUES TO SPIN EXCESSIVELY AFTER RETRACTION. ZZZ MAINT WAS TO REPAIR ITEM. SPACERS WERE ADDED TO THE NOSEWHEEL SNUBBERS AND THE AIRPLANE WAS RELEASED FROM MAINT. OUR FLT TO ICT WAS COMPLETED WITHOUT INCIDENT. WE CHANGED AIRPLANES IN ICT. THE FO PICKING UP OUR AIRPLANE ACCOMPLISHED HIS WALKAROUND AND RPTED FINDING A BAG OF TOOLS IN THE NOSEWHEEL. I INSPECTED THE TOOL BAG WHICH WAS ABOUT 5 FT BY 4 FT. IT CONTAINED SEVERAL OPENED WRENCHES, ETC. IT WAS LOCATED JUST BELOW THE SCISSOR EXTENSION ARM. A HANDY LOCATION TO LAY TOOLS.
