Narrative:
I took off of runway 35R and got in the pattern and when I was just setting up for a landing, the tower radioed to me and told me to extend my downwind because I was going to be following a cessna in and to watch out for his jetwash. This was my first landing since dec/mon/01 and I was out to work on my lndgs. I was watching so hard for jetwash, and concentrating so hard on getting set up for landing and making the runway, that I landed on the taxiway next to the runway. The lights were not very visible and the runway and taxiway look identical from above. I learned from my mistake and every time I come in for a landing, this day will be on my mind! I will always, from now on out, make sure that I am on the correct runway.

Title: A C152 PLT LANDED ON THE PARALLEL TXWY AT LNK, INSTEAD OF ON THE RWY.
Narrative: I TOOK OFF OF RWY 35R AND GOT IN THE PATTERN AND WHEN I WAS JUST SETTING UP FOR A LNDG, THE TWR RADIOED TO ME AND TOLD ME TO EXTEND MY DOWNWIND BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO BE FOLLOWING A CESSNA IN AND TO WATCH OUT FOR HIS JETWASH. THIS WAS MY FIRST LNDG SINCE DEC/MON/01 AND I WAS OUT TO WORK ON MY LNDGS. I WAS WATCHING SO HARD FOR JETWASH, AND CONCENTRATING SO HARD ON GETTING SET UP FOR LNDG AND MAKING THE RWY, THAT I LANDED ON THE TXWY NEXT TO THE RWY. THE LIGHTS WERE NOT VERY VISIBLE AND THE RWY AND TXWY LOOK IDENTICAL FROM ABOVE. I LEARNED FROM MY MISTAKE AND EVERY TIME I COME IN FOR A LNDG, THIS DAY WILL BE ON MY MIND! I WILL ALWAYS, FROM NOW ON OUT, MAKE SURE THAT I AM ON THE CORRECT RWY.
