Narrative:
During flap retraction on departure from cvg to ewr, I was in the jump seat. The crew noticed an asymmetric flap indication on the outboard flaps. They performed the procedure, and then decided that they only had an indication problem. They elected to continue to ewr with the asymmetric flap indication. I informed the so that I disagreed, but the crew continued.

THEY PERFORMED THE PROC, AND THEN DECIDED THAT THEY ONLY HAD AN INDICATION PROB. THEY ELECTED TO CONTINUE TO EWR WITH THE ASYMMETRIC FLAP INDICATION. I INFORMED THE SO THAT I DISAGREED, BUT THE CREW CONTINUED.
