Narrative:
Giving a line check. During boarding process, ramp personnel noted hydraulic fluid under right main gear. Contract maintenance was called. Mechanic stated a brake line was leaking. Delay ensued with no parts available at ZZZ. Temperature at ZZZ was 19 degrees F and jetway was cold. I walked up to gate area to warm up. Shortly, an operations agent summoned me to the airplane stating the leak was fixed. I went into cockpit and captain stated the mechanic tightened a fitting and stopped the leak. By the time I was strapped in, we were pushing and starting engines. As we started taxi, I pulled the logbook out and the captain said he didn't write it up. The airplane arrived at ZZZ 30 mins late. We finally pushed about 1 hour late. I told the captain that I would have put a write-up in the book. On arrival at hou, the report said the delay was due to captain conferring with maintenance. If I had to do it again, I would have told the captain to return to the gate or write up/sign off by maintenance.
