Narrative:
I was flying VFR in good WX conditions on a cross country flight from ZZZ to ZZZ1 in a private aircraft. I was going more or less direct, at 2000 ft MSL, but deviation around restr airspace and washington dulles class B. I thought I plotted a course around P40, but evidently entered the extended boundary (as amended by NOTAM post 9/tue/01. I learned this when military jet flew up next to me at which time I immediately tried to reach him on 121.5. Unable to contact jet, I quickly contacted ZZZ2 tower who instructed me to land (which I did, obviously). I was aware of P40 and thought I avoided it. Unfortunately, I was busy plotting my course, planning a fuel stop, determining minimum safe altitude to cross impending blue ridge mountains, and think that the strong winds aloft pushed me off course and into the restr airspace. More careful flight planning, more conservative course plotting (wide berth around restr areas), and more vigilance in flight should prevent this from happening again. I sincerely regret this incident.

Title: SMA PLT WAS INTERCEPTED BY A MILITARY ACFT AFTER HE FLEW INTO TFR PROHIBITED AIRSPACE.
Narrative: I WAS FLYING VFR IN GOOD WX CONDITIONS ON A CROSS COUNTRY FLT FROM ZZZ TO ZZZ1 IN A PRIVATE ACFT. UNABLE TO CONTACT JET, I QUICKLY CONTACTED ZZZ2 TWR WHO INSTRUCTED ME TO LAND (WHICH I DID, OBVIOUSLY). MORE CAREFUL FLT PLANNING, MORE CONSERVATIVE COURSE PLOTTING (WIDE BERTH AROUND RESTR AREAS), AND MORE VIGILANCE IN FLT SHOULD PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN. I SINCERELY REGRET THIS INCIDENT.
