Narrative:
At about 25 KTS, an erroneous 'high speed' aural warning sounded. We aborted the takeoff and took the appropriate actions and returned to the gate. Upon calling maintenance control, we were informed there was a pilot procedure that could be performed and that no write-up in the aircraft log was required, and that it would be noted and documented in maintenance control. The procedure was performed and it corrected the problem. No other abnormalities were noted.

UPON CALLING MAINT CTL, WE WERE INFORMED THERE WAS A PLT PROC THAT COULD BE PERFORMED AND THAT NO WRITE-UP IN THE ACFT LOG WAS REQUIRED, AND THAT IT WOULD BE NOTED AND DOCUMENTED IN MAINT CTL. THE PROC WAS PERFORMED AND IT CORRECTED THE PROB. NO OTHER ABNORMALITIES WERE NOTED.
