Narrative:

Loss of all heading information compass system #1 and #2 upon takeoff form pae. Moderate turbulence rendered wet compass unreliable to unusable. No compass flags or annunciator lights visible before or during loss of system. Requested steering commands from departure for heading information. Requested a circular holding pattern to sort situation out. After approximately 7 min hold, requested and received vectors to a VFR landing at sea, backed up with a no gyro ILS approach to sea. Approach and landing normal at sea. Aircraft received maintenance at the FBO facility at pae prior to described ferry flight.
