Narrative:

Met inbound crew on jet bridge. Immediately accomplished the walk around. Did not notice any damage to left wing during walk around. Called maintenance sometime after accomplishing the interior preflight to replace an inoperative bulb. Maintenance came, replaced the bulb and left. Maintenance then rtned to the cockpit and asked if we knew there was damage to the left wing. Both myself and the captain went to look at the damage and maintenance said we would probably be put out of service. Approximately 10 mins later we were notified we were out of service. We changed aircraft and continued the original sequence.
