Narrative:
I crossed the hold short line for runway 18L at B2 intersection before clearance. We were told take B2 intersection to go ahead of traffic at B1 that wasn't ready for takeoff. I thought it was a 'position and hold' clearance but it wasn't. The controller cleared us into position and hold after we crossed the line close to the runway edge. There was no traffic conflict.

Title: DHC8 STOPPED OVER THE RWY HOLD SHORT LINE JUST PRIOR TO THE TWR CLRING THEM INTO POS AND HOLD. THERE WAS NO CONFLICT.
Narrative: I CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 18L AT B2 INTXN BEFORE CLRNC. WE WERE TOLD TAKE B2 INTXN TO GO AHEAD OF TFC AT B1 THAT WASN'T READY FOR TKOF. I THOUGHT IT WAS A 'POS AND HOLD' CLRNC BUT IT WASN'T. THE CTLR CLRED US INTO POS AND HOLD AFTER WE CROSSED THE LINE CLOSE TO THE RWY EDGE. THERE WAS NO TFC CONFLICT.
