Narrative:
I was advised that I violated a tfr zone. This would have been, of course, an inadvertent error. I was learning to fly my friend's aircraft. His is similar to mine although a more pwrful model. We departed ZZZ after changing seats. My intention was to fly to ZZZ1 where I am much more familiar with the terrain, frequencys, etc, while getting used to a new plane. We briefly discussed whether there was a tfr over ZZZ and neither of us recalled one. He had gotten the weather briefing earlier that day over duats, but did not speak to any briefers. The WX was severe clear and I didn't suspect there was any need to get an additional briefing. I am familiar with all of the other tfr's in the area, as this is the area I usually fly VFR. My friend and I were more concerned with staying out of ZZZ2 airspace. We were apparently followed by TRACON radar. Upon reaching the traffic pattern at ZZZ1 we were asked for our full call sign. On the ground we were held until I contacted the FAA. I was told that I had violated the ZZZ tfr. Upon careful self review of how this happened, I can see the multiple factors leading to the flight profile. I did not get my own flight briefing, instead relying on the briefing that my friend had obtained. I did not think there were any new tfr's in the area. My last VFR briefing for this area was a few months ago. The only way to avoid a recurrence is to realize that circumstances are such in flying these days, and things change often, and that memory is not infallible and to thus get a briefing before every flight no matter how short. During the briefing, I should ask for any changes or additions to the tfr structure.

Title: TEMPORARY FLT RESTR ENTRY.
Narrative: I WAS ADVISED THAT I VIOLATED A TFR ZONE. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN, OF COURSE, AN INADVERTENT ERROR. I WAS LEARNING TO FLY MY FRIEND'S ACFT. HIS IS SIMILAR TO MINE ALTHOUGH A MORE PWRFUL MODEL. WE DEPARTED ZZZ AFTER CHANGING SEATS. MY INTENTION WAS TO FLY TO ZZZ1 WHERE I AM MUCH MORE FAMILIAR WITH THE TERRAIN, FREQS, ETC, WHILE GETTING USED TO A NEW PLANE. UPON REACHING THE TFC PATTERN AT ZZZ1 WE WERE ASKED FOR OUR FULL CALL SIGN. ON THE GND WE WERE HELD UNTIL I CONTACTED THE FAA. I WAS TOLD THAT I HAD VIOLATED THE ZZZ TFR. UPON CAREFUL SELF REVIEW OF HOW THIS HAPPENED, I CAN SEE THE MULTIPLE FACTORS LEADING TO THE FLT PROFILE. I DID NOT GET MY OWN FLT BRIEFING, INSTEAD RELYING ON THE BRIEFING THAT MY FRIEND HAD OBTAINED. I DID NOT THINK THERE WERE ANY NEW TFR'S IN THE AREA. MY LAST VFR BRIEFING FOR THIS AREA WAS A FEW MONTHS AGO. THE ONLY WAY TO AVOID A RECURRENCE IS TO REALIZE THAT CIRCUMSTANCES ARE SUCH IN FLYING THESE DAYS, AND THINGS CHANGE OFTEN, AND THAT MEMORY IS NOT INFALLIBLE AND TO THUS GET A BRIEFING BEFORE EVERY FLT NO MATTER HOW SHORT. DURING THE BRIEFING, I SHOULD ASK FOR ANY CHANGES OR ADDITIONS TO THE TFR STRUCTURE.
