Narrative:

While taxiing out of gate at mem airport, we wre told that we blew some empty cargo containers into a parked DC10 aircraft. The aircraft was extremely heavy and took some extra time to get moving after power was applied. The captain did not add excessive power, but had to keep the power up through the turn out of parking in order not to stall the aircraft. We had to hold at spot X for takeoff for runway 27. Again, we were facing west and had to apply power to get moving. It took extra time to get moving, but excessive power was not used. Takeoff and departure were uneventful. We did not know about the taxi incident until arrival at reno. Then we were told to call company. Company safety told us this is the second or third time this type incident occurred in this area of the ramp.
