Narrative:
Flight to lga airport. Cleared to descend via the korry arrival. Was unable to cross brand intersection at 11000 ft. Crossed brand at 11600 ft. By the time I noticed it, I could not inform ATC in time. Looking at the arrival, I noticed you have 6 mi to descend 2000 ft. At the time, we had a 110 KT tailwind. Plus, during the descent, ATC told us to cross the next fix, korry at 10000 ft at 250 KTS. In a transport category aircraft, it is extremely difficult to meet those altitude restrs with no tailwind and speed restr safely. The FMC was unable to calculate the VNAV path in time for it to be of any use. This is a bad arrival procedure in reference to the 2 crossing altitudes at brand and korry. You do not have the distance to safely and smoothly meet those restrs. I have flown that arrival many times since this event and have yet to meet or see the other pilots meet those restrs. I now tell ATC in advance that I might be high over those fixes every time I am above those altitudes.

Title: B737 FLC CONCERNED WITH COMPLIANCE WITH RESTRS OF KORRY STAR INTO LGA.
Narrative: FLT TO LGA ARPT. CLRED TO DSND VIA THE KORRY ARR. WAS UNABLE TO CROSS BRAND INTXN AT 11000 FT. CROSSED BRAND AT 11600 FT. BY THE TIME I NOTICED IT, I COULD NOT INFORM ATC IN TIME. LOOKING AT THE ARR, I NOTICED YOU HAVE 6 MI TO DSND 2000 FT. AT THE TIME, WE HAD A 110 KT TAILWIND. PLUS, DURING THE DSCNT, ATC TOLD US TO CROSS THE NEXT FIX, KORRY AT 10000 FT AT 250 KTS. IN A TRANSPORT CATEGORY ACFT, IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO MEET THOSE ALT RESTRS WITH NO TAILWIND AND SPD RESTR SAFELY. THE FMC WAS UNABLE TO CALCULATE THE VNAV PATH IN TIME FOR IT TO BE OF ANY USE. THIS IS A BAD ARR PROC IN REF TO THE 2 XING ALTS AT BRAND AND KORRY. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE DISTANCE TO SAFELY AND SMOOTHLY MEET THOSE RESTRS. I HAVE FLOWN THAT ARR MANY TIMES SINCE THIS EVENT AND HAVE YET TO MEET OR SEE THE OTHER PLTS MEET THOSE RESTRS. I NOW TELL ATC IN ADVANCE THAT I MIGHT BE HIGH OVER THOSE FIXES EVERY TIME I AM ABOVE THOSE ALTS.
