Narrative:
Upon landing and turning to taxiway, taxiing to ramp, bright lights from sheriff's hangar made taxi lights unusable. I turned at 'terminal sign' and departed taxiway to ditch. The hangar spotlights should be directed away from taxiway and runway.

Title: A C172 PLT, WHILE MAKING A TURN ONTO A TXWY, HAD VISION IMPAIRMENT FROM BRIGHT HANGAR LIGHTING CAUSING A TXWY EXCURSION INTO A DITCH.
Narrative: UPON LNDG AND TURNING TO TXWY, TAXIING TO RAMP, BRIGHT LIGHTS FROM SHERIFF'S HANGAR MADE TAXI LIGHTS UNUSABLE. I TURNED AT 'TERMINAL SIGN' AND DEPARTED TXWY TO DITCH. THE HANGAR SPOTLIGHTS SHOULD BE DIRECTED AWAY FROM TXWY AND RWY.
