Narrative:

We were on approach to runway 18 at oma. The wind was 120 degrees at 11 KTS. On final, the controller alerted us to LLWS and called out the wind direction and speed at different points on the airfield. On short final the north boundary wind was reported 360 degrees at 8 KTS. On the rollout, as we approached the intersection to runways 18 and 14R, the controller told us to do a 180 degree turn on the runway. After completing the turn and straightening out on the runway (runway 18), I looked down runway 14R and saw a single engine airplane on final to the runway. At this time, I was already on or close to the edge of the runway. Seeing that I could not stop at the runway, I proceeded across. I knew I would be on the taxiway before the aircraft touched down, and his touchdown point would be several thousand ft up the runway from the intersection. The controller told the aircraft to go around and told us we were to hold short at runway 14R. I did not hear that when we were told to do the 180 degree turn. I may have missed it because I was concentrating on the LLWS and the possibility of encountering a switch to a tailwind on short final. I think controllers should not have you hold short of an intersecting runway when you have just crossed it, and there is no hold short line marked.

Title: RWY INCURSION WHEN A LEARJET 35 TAXIED INTO A RWY INTXN AFTER DOING A 180 DEG TURN ON THE RWY AFTER LNDG, PER THE CTLR'S INSTRUCTIONS, RESULTING IN ANOTHER ACFT BEING SENT AROUND.

Narrative: WE WERE ON APCH TO RWY 18 AT OMA. THE WIND WAS 120 DEGS AT 11 KTS. ON FINAL, THE CTLR ALERTED US TO LLWS AND CALLED OUT THE WIND DIRECTION AND SPD AT DIFFERENT POINTS ON THE AIRFIELD. ON SHORT FINAL THE N BOUNDARY WIND WAS RPTED 360 DEGS AT 8 KTS. ON THE ROLLOUT, AS WE APCHED THE INTXN TO RWYS 18 AND 14R, THE CTLR TOLD US TO DO A 180 DEG TURN ON THE RWY. AFTER COMPLETING THE TURN AND STRAIGHTENING OUT ON THE RWY (RWY 18), I LOOKED DOWN RWY 14R AND SAW A SINGLE ENG AIRPLANE ON FINAL TO THE RWY. AT THIS TIME, I WAS ALREADY ON OR CLOSE TO THE EDGE OF THE RWY. SEEING THAT I COULD NOT STOP AT THE RWY, I PROCEEDED ACROSS. I KNEW I WOULD BE ON THE TXWY BEFORE THE ACFT TOUCHED DOWN, AND HIS TOUCHDOWN POINT WOULD BE SEVERAL THOUSAND FT UP THE RWY FROM THE INTXN. THE CTLR TOLD THE ACFT TO GO AROUND AND TOLD US WE WERE TO HOLD SHORT AT RWY 14R. I DID NOT HEAR THAT WHEN WE WERE TOLD TO DO THE 180 DEG TURN. I MAY HAVE MISSED IT BECAUSE I WAS CONCENTRATING ON THE LLWS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF ENCOUNTERING A SWITCH TO A TAILWIND ON SHORT FINAL. I THINK CTLRS SHOULD NOT HAVE YOU HOLD SHORT OF AN INTERSECTING RWY WHEN YOU HAVE JUST CROSSED IT, AND THERE IS NO HOLD SHORT LINE MARKED.
