Narrative:
During descent into dfw, we were told to cross a fix at 12000 ft. I didn't descend fast enough and we missed the crossing altitude by 2000 ft. No traffic conflict.

Title: ALT XING RESTR NOT MET BY A LOW TIME IN TYPE PIC OF AN LTT JET 40 MI NW OF DFW, TX.
Narrative: DURING DSCNT INTO DFW, WE WERE TOLD TO CROSS A FIX AT 12000 FT. I DIDN'T DSND FAST ENOUGH AND WE MISSED THE XING ALT BY 2000 FT. NO TFC CONFLICT.
