Narrative:

On approach to sfo, ATC vectored us close in trail of a 757 (1-2 miles) for approach to runway 28L, the 757 was for runway 28R. Not having adequate wake turbulence separation we declined the approach and were vectored for another. This is at least the 4TH time in the last 2 weeks that ATC (2 sfo, 2 lax) had not given adequate separation behind 757 or bigger aircraft. They are always surprised we will not fly 1 mile in trail of a 747 etc. This is a serious safety concern for the 737. I write this to bring attention to the danger and prevent further wake turbulence accidents!
