Narrative:

I was on taxiway kilo and was asked to hold short runway 12/30. I read back hold instructions. I became confused with hold bars for another runway and ended up on runway 30. A plane was on final for runway 30, before the threshold, and was asked by the tower to go around. I cleared the runway as soon as the problem was identified. I knew I had gone too far and was on runway 30 and was proceeding across, when ground discovered what I had done they told me to stop until they realized what I had done. They then had me continue my taxi off the runway. Long beach airport has one hold bar for 12/30 and 16/34 0N taxiway kilo. I was looking for the 12/30 hold after I had seen the 16/34. I was doing night currency work, this occurred after my last landing on my way back to tie down.

Title: PIPER PA28 PLT INADVERTENTLY TAXIED ONTO ACTIVE RWY DURING TAXI IN, RESULTING IN TWR SENDING ANOTHER ACFT AROUND.

Narrative: I WAS ON TXWY KILO AND WAS ASKED TO HOLD SHORT RWY 12/30. I READ BACK HOLD INSTRUCTIONS. I BECAME CONFUSED WITH HOLD BARS FOR ANOTHER RWY AND ENDED UP ON RWY 30. A PLANE WAS ON FINAL FOR RWY 30, BEFORE THE THRESHOLD, AND WAS ASKED BY THE TWR TO GAR. I CLRED THE RWY AS SOON AS THE PROB WAS IDENTIFIED. I KNEW I HAD GONE TOO FAR AND WAS ON RWY 30 AND WAS PROCEEDING ACROSS, WHEN GND DISCOVERED WHAT I HAD DONE THEY TOLD ME TO STOP UNTIL THEY REALIZED WHAT I HAD DONE. THEY THEN HAD ME CONTINUE MY TAXI OFF THE RWY. LONG BEACH ARPT HAS ONE HOLD BAR FOR 12/30 AND 16/34 0N TXWY KILO. I WAS LOOKING FOR THE 12/30 HOLD AFTER I HAD SEEN THE 16/34. I WAS DOING NIGHT CURRENCY WORK, THIS OCCURRED AFTER MY LAST LNDG ON MY WAY BACK TO TIE DOWN.
