Narrative:

After I took the handoff on aircraft Y, the aircraft made a 45 degree right turn. ZTL delayed switching air carrier X to my frequency. Aircraft Y checked on and misinformed me about the current heading. I turned both aircraft right, resulting in one update at 4.3 mi. Aircraft Y was turned on course 11 seconds before a handoff was initiated to my sector. Aircraft Y had been assigned about a 120 degree heading.
