Narrative:
Fire on initial descent from FL310 into dal. #2 engine fire warning light came on and bell sounded. Ran through engine fire severe damage or separation checklist. Shut down the #2 engine and discharged both fire bottles. #2 engine fire light remained on, declared emergency and landed safely in dallas. No fire or smoke was observed on landing from fire crews. Fire light extinguished while taxiing into gate.

Narrative: FIRE ON INITIAL DSCNT FROM FL310 INTO DAL. #2 ENG FIRE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND BELL SOUNDED. RAN THROUGH ENG FIRE SEVERE DAMAGE OR SEPARATION CHKLIST. SHUT DOWN THE #2 ENG AND DISCHARGED BOTH FIRE BOTTLES. #2 ENG FIRE LIGHT REMAINED ON, DECLARED EMER AND LANDED SAFELY IN DALLAS. NO FIRE OR SMOKE WAS OBSERVED ON LNDG FROM FIRE CREWS.
