Narrative:
Departing las I missed the flaps up call and exceeded maximum flap speed of 230 KTS. We discovered this error at 250 KTS. Flaps were configured to 1 degree. In focusing on this error, we missed the 1000 ft to altitude call. 200 ft above 7000 ft, I called 'altitude' and began leveling off. As we heard our 300 ft deviation warning, we were cleared to, I believe, 19000 ft. Distractions: early am show, I chose to fly with the flight director off, flying a new RNAV departure, and we lost sight of the traffic we were to follow. Also I was focusing on the 'climb mode' requirements which led me to forget the 'flaps up' call before calling for the 'climb mode.' I have to be careful for my mother is sick (involvement of the children in the area is required), I have recently separated from my wife and airline's financial state combined to be a great distraction. Thus far I have done well in handling these events. This event makes me very much aware I have to do better.

Title: ALT OVERSHOT AFTER A B737-300 PIC EXCEEDED FLAP EXTENDED SPD DURING AN RNAV DEP FROM LAS, NV.
Narrative: DEPARTING LAS I MISSED THE FLAPS UP CALL AND EXCEEDED MAX FLAP SPD OF 230 KTS. WE DISCOVERED THIS ERROR AT 250 KTS. FLAPS WERE CONFIGURED TO 1 DEG. IN FOCUSING ON THIS ERROR, WE MISSED THE 1000 FT TO ALT CALL. 200 FT ABOVE 7000 FT, I CALLED 'ALT' AND BEGAN LEVELING OFF. AS WE HEARD OUR 300 FT DEV WARNING, WE WERE CLRED TO, I BELIEVE, 19000 FT. DISTRACTIONS: EARLY AM SHOW, I CHOSE TO FLY WITH THE FLT DIRECTOR OFF, FLYING A NEW RNAV DEP, AND WE LOST SIGHT OF THE TFC WE WERE TO FOLLOW. ALSO I WAS FOCUSING ON THE 'CLB MODE' REQUIREMENTS WHICH LED ME TO FORGET THE 'FLAPS UP' CALL BEFORE CALLING FOR THE 'CLB MODE.' I HAVE TO BE CAREFUL FOR MY MOTHER IS SICK (INVOLVEMENT OF THE CHILDREN IN THE AREA IS REQUIRED), I HAVE RECENTLY SEPARATED FROM MY WIFE AND AIRLINE'S FINANCIAL STATE COMBINED TO BE A GREAT DISTR. THUS FAR I HAVE DONE WELL IN HANDLING THESE EVENTS. THIS EVENT MAKES ME VERY MUCH AWARE I HAVE TO DO BETTER.
