Narrative:
Initial aircraft movement without salute, no injuries or damage. Factors: 1) routine disrupted after initial brake release by aft flight attendant calling for us to get her purse back after she had left it in a food cart taken away by catering. After much effort, purse returned through first officer's window. 2) pushback person did not inform us it was a 2 man push and was unaware of 2ND mechanic. 3) push person did not use SOP phraseology, including did not say 'disconnecting, watch for salute.' 4) tug and 2ND mechanic remained out of my view to the right side of the aircraft. 5) first officer called for and received taxi clearance before salute. Had aircraft pushing to left of us and were discussing how options to get around aircraft. I released brake and just as starting aircraft movement, first officer saw mechanic out his side and I immediately stopped aircraft and set brakes. I did then receive a salute and release from guidance. I allowed distractions and routine disruption to interfere with my performance and ultimately the mistake was mine.

Title: A320 CREW BEGINS TAXI PRIOR TO GETTING CLRNC.
Narrative: INITIAL ACFT MOVEMENT WITHOUT SALUTE, NO INJURIES OR DAMAGE. FACTORS: 1) ROUTINE DISRUPTED AFTER INITIAL BRAKE RELEASE BY AFT FLT ATTENDANT CALLING FOR US TO GET HER PURSE BACK AFTER SHE HAD LEFT IT IN A FOOD CART TAKEN AWAY BY CATERING. AFTER MUCH EFFORT, PURSE RETURNED THROUGH FO'S WINDOW. 2) PUSHBACK PERSON DID NOT INFORM US IT WAS A 2 MAN PUSH AND WAS UNAWARE OF 2ND MECH. 3) PUSH PERSON DID NOT USE SOP PHRASEOLOGY, INCLUDING DID NOT SAY 'DISCONNECTING, WATCH FOR SALUTE.' 4) TUG AND 2ND MECH REMAINED OUT OF MY VIEW TO THE R SIDE OF THE ACFT. 5) FO CALLED FOR AND RECEIVED TAXI CLRNC BEFORE SALUTE. HAD ACFT PUSHING TO L OF US AND WERE DISCUSSING HOW OPTIONS TO GET AROUND ACFT. I RELEASED BRAKE AND JUST AS STARTING ACFT MOVEMENT, FO SAW MECH OUT HIS SIDE AND I IMMEDIATELY STOPPED ACFT AND SET BRAKES. I DID THEN RECEIVE A SALUTE AND RELEASE FROM GUIDANCE. I ALLOWED DISTRACTIONS AND ROUTINE DISRUPTION TO INTERFERE WITH MY PERFORMANCE AND ULTIMATELY THE MISTAKE WAS MINE.
