Narrative:
New copilot was having trouble with radio communication button versus pitch sync button. This is caused some confusion in the cockpit. As we were approaching the hold short line, the copilot's chair went to full down, causing me to turn my head. When I looked up, I saw the hold short line and stopped with the front of the aircraft past the line.
