Narrative:

At FL310, we told center that we had to deviate left of course for WX. Center approved a left of course deviation and then gave us a frequency change and said to tell the next controller we were deviating. We told the next controller we were deviating left of course for WX. But several mins later, we were asked if we were deviating for WX and said yes. She then said she did not know that and gave us a short vector for traffic. As far as I know, we did everything correctly.
