Narrative:
At FL310, we told center that we had to deviate left of course for WX. Center approved a left of course deviation and then gave us a frequency change and said to tell the next controller we were deviating. We told the next controller we were deviating left of course for WX. But several mins later, we were asked if we were deviating for WX and said yes. She then said she did not know that and gave us a short vector for traffic. As far as I know, we did everything correctly.

Title: POTENTIAL CONFLICT AVERTED BY ARTCC RADAR CTLR AFTER FREQ CHANGE OF AN MD88 WHO WAS DEVIATING ACCOUNT OF WX ON FREQ WITH ANOTHER CTLR AT ZKC, MO.
Narrative: AT FL310, WE TOLD CTR THAT WE HAD TO DEVIATE L OF COURSE FOR WX. CTR APPROVED A L OF COURSE DEV AND THEN GAVE US A FREQ CHANGE AND SAID TO TELL THE NEXT CTLR WE WERE DEVIATING. WE TOLD THE NEXT CTLR WE WERE DEVIATING L OF COURSE FOR WX. BUT SEVERAL MINS LATER, WE WERE ASKED IF WE WERE DEVIATING FOR WX AND SAID YES. SHE THEN SAID SHE DID NOT KNOW THAT AND GAVE US A SHORT VECTOR FOR TFC. AS FAR AS I KNOW, WE DID EVERYTHING CORRECTLY.
