Narrative:

E120 was on base leg vector to ILS runway 35L. MD80 was on vector to join localizer runway 35L. I turned the E120 to join the localizer runway 35L but I turned him late. As the E120 joined in front of the MD80, it was obvious that less than 3 mi was occurring so I climbed the MD80 immediately to 11000 ft and re-vectored the aircraft normally.

Title: WHILE VECTORING AN E120 TO THE LOC, A DEN APCH CTLR MISJUDGED THE TURN TO FINAL RESULTING IN A GAR OF A TRAILING MD80.

Narrative: E120 WAS ON BASE LEG VECTOR TO ILS RWY 35L. MD80 WAS ON VECTOR TO JOIN LOC RWY 35L. I TURNED THE E120 TO JOIN THE LOC RWY 35L BUT I TURNED HIM LATE. AS THE E120 JOINED IN FRONT OF THE MD80, IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT LESS THAN 3 MI WAS OCCURRING SO I CLBED THE MD80 IMMEDIATELY TO 11000 FT AND RE-VECTORED THE ACFT NORMALLY.
