Narrative:
Thanks to a timely alert from maf ground control, a runway incursion across an active runway (runway 10) was avoided. No other aircraft or ground equipment was involved. This was a new airport to me and I was passing the lead-in line to taxiway a when ground called. I was also conducting the departure briefing during this time. Next time at an unfamiliar airport, I'll defer the brief until holding short of the active.
