Narrative:
On climb out at approximately 1300 ft AGL (2400 ft MSL), left engine experienced N1 reduction and fluctuating from climb setting to low 70% range. Could not maintain climb power setting with left engine. Declared emergency as a precaution and returned to atl for landing without further incident.

Narrative: ON CLBOUT AT APPROX 1300 FT AGL (2400 FT MSL), L ENG EXPERIENCED N1 REDUCTION AND FLUCTUATING FROM CLB SETTING TO LOW 70% RANGE. COULD NOT MAINTAIN CLB PWR SETTING WITH L ENG. DECLARED EMER AS A PRECAUTION AND RETURNED TO ATL FOR LNDG WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
