Narrative:
I was PF on a trip from cvg to sfo. On first contact with bay approach we requested and were cleared for the FMS bridge visual runway 28R. All aircraft system were normal and WX was not a factor. Somewhere on final outside the san mateo bridge another aircraft was cleared onto runway 28L visual. The captain had the aircraft in sight at all times and as both aircraft lined up on final it was apparent we would not have the normal stagger, but in fact were flying abeam each other. I was concentrating on maintaining runway centerline and sometime above 1000 ft AGL received an RA with a 'climb' command. The captain stated that there was no conflict and I stated I would continue. We were very intent on maintaining lateral separation and I do not recall, in retrospect, being switched to tower or being given clearance to land. Supplemental information from acn 564277: we were cleared for the FMS bridge visual to runway 28R, bay approach called our traffic that was landing runway 28L. When we were about 13 mi from landing. As the PNF I immediately established visual contact and told the PF that I would maintain visual contact. It became apparent as our aircraft merged that we were not going to be spaced in a stagger. We were flying abeam each other. At about 1800 ft AGL we received a TA followed by an RA of 'climb.' I told the PF that we were maintaining separation and that I would continue maintaining visual contact. I also switched the transponder to TA only.

Title: B737-800 CREW CONCENTRATING ON TFC MAKING A SIDE BY VISUAL APCH TO SFO FORGET TO CALL TWR FOR A LNDG CLRNC.
Narrative: I WAS PF ON A TRIP FROM CVG TO SFO. ON FIRST CONTACT WITH BAY APCH WE REQUESTED AND WERE CLRED FOR THE FMS BRIDGE VISUAL RWY 28R. ALL ACFT SYS WERE NORMAL AND WX WAS NOT A FACTOR. SOMEWHERE ON FINAL OUTSIDE THE SAN MATEO BRIDGE ANOTHER ACFT WAS CLRED ONTO RWY 28L VISUAL. THE CAPT HAD THE ACFT IN SIGHT AT ALL TIMES AND AS BOTH ACFT LINED UP ON FINAL IT WAS APPARENT WE WOULD NOT HAVE THE NORMAL STAGGER, BUT IN FACT WERE FLYING ABEAM EACH OTHER. I WAS CONCENTRATING ON MAINTAINING RWY CTRLINE AND SOMETIME ABOVE 1000 FT AGL RECEIVED AN RA WITH A 'CLB' COMMAND. THE CAPT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO CONFLICT AND I STATED I WOULD CONTINUE. WE WERE VERY INTENT ON MAINTAINING LATERAL SEPARATION AND I DO NOT RECALL, IN RETROSPECT, BEING SWITCHED TO TWR OR BEING GIVEN CLRNC TO LAND. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 564277: WE WERE CLRED FOR THE FMS BRIDGE VISUAL TO RWY 28R, BAY APCH CALLED OUR TFC THAT WAS LNDG RWY 28L. WHEN WE WERE ABOUT 13 MI FROM LNDG. AS THE PNF I IMMEDIATELY ESTABLISHED VISUAL CONTACT AND TOLD THE PF THAT I WOULD MAINTAIN VISUAL CONTACT. IT BECAME APPARENT AS OUR ACFT MERGED THAT WE WERE NOT GOING TO BE SPACED IN A STAGGER. WE WERE FLYING ABEAM EACH OTHER. AT ABOUT 1800 FT AGL WE RECEIVED A TA FOLLOWED BY AN RA OF 'CLB.' I TOLD THE PF THAT WE WERE MAINTAINING SEPARATION AND THAT I WOULD CONTINUE MAINTAINING VISUAL CONTACT. I ALSO SWITCHED THE XPONDER TO TA ONLY.
