Narrative:
Aircraft X, a B767, had completed his landing on runway 31R and was turning left at taxiway V with instructions to turn left onto taxiway B and taxi to the ramp. Aircraft Y was then cleared for takeoff. As aircraft X was turning left onto taxiway B, an amass warning was received. Because of this amass warning, as a precaution, the takeoff clearance to aircraft Y was canceled.

Title: AN ARPT MOVEMENT AREA SAFETY SYS (AMASS) ALERT AT JFK WARNED THE LCL CTLR THAT THE RWY WAS OCCUPIED WHEN HE WAS ABOUT TO CLR ANOTHER ACFT FOR TKOF ON THE SAME RWY.
Narrative: ACFT X, A B767, HAD COMPLETED HIS LNDG ON RWY 31R AND WAS TURNING L AT TXWY V WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO TURN L ONTO TXWY B AND TAXI TO THE RAMP. ACFT Y WAS THEN CLRED FOR TKOF. AS ACFT X WAS TURNING L ONTO TXWY B, AN AMASS WARNING WAS RECEIVED. BECAUSE OF THIS AMASS WARNING, AS A PRECAUTION, THE TKOF CLRNC TO ACFT Y WAS CANCELED.
