Narrative:
Experienced electrical failure in-flight. Lost communication, VOR, and transponder. Cleared class B from jfk direct col. Flight originated from frg to pne. Cause of electrical failure was faulty relay between master switch and alternator. Diverted to blm then went back to frg. While at blm, spoke to manager at TRACON for possible waiver in case relay should pop a second time. Made it back to frg safely with everything working.
