Narrative:
Hydraulic pump failed at cruise altitude. We ran the checklist and contacted dispatch and maintenance. It was decided to divert to jfk for repairs. Center fuel tank had 1000 pounds in it per SOP. No fuel was available to dump. I made an overweight landing at jfk. Repairs were made on hydraulic pump and an overweight inspection was conducted. We continued the flight to cdg.
