Narrative:

Planned fuel 36.4. On taxi out; ACARS message received from dispatch 'hey guys sounds like you will be overweight by 200 lbs. Can you do an additional taxi burn?' first officer acknowledged message. I requested the first officer contact load control to request an updated ZFW for planning purposes as the load closeout had not yet arrived. The load agent refused multiple requests to provide the ZFW on the radio. I advised tower 'working on the numbers; will advise when ready.' aircraft parked in T/O block with both engines set at N1 57 percent; ff at 3000 lbs/hr/eng. Finally a load closeout arrived showing ZFW at 113;796. Therefore; the taxi weight was 150.2 (legal; thank goodness). Fuel was burned down to 35.5. Takeoff weight at commencement of T/O roll is 149.3. When the flight plan arrived on ACARS; T/O fuel indicated 35.8. If that were true; the T/O weight would have been 149.6 (illegal). That was not what we actually had.
