Narrative:
On approach to runway 18L at ZZZ, ATC was in the process of turning the airport around. We were cleared to land on runway 18L. ATC put an aircraft in position on runway 36R prior to our touchdown. We broke out at 500 ft AGL and noticed aircraft at the other end of the runway not moving, and landed. ATC asked us to call the tower upon arrival. Spoke with tower supervisor, and he stated that controller had made a mistake putting the other aircraft in position, had been removed from duty, and they would be conducting an investigation. He stated that we had done nothing wrong, but wanted my phone number in case they needed any future information from me.
