Narrative:
Engine cooling baffles have been failing at a tremendous rate and so the manufacturer supplied alternate baffles and a service bulletin (osb 1121-022) for the installation of these baffles. During an unscheduled audit of paperwork, it was discovered that several of these baffles had been installed and no maintenance records of the service bulletin compliance had been made. Entries had been made for the replacement of the baffles, but no reference to the service bulletin had been recorded. Technicians on floor were unaware and parts department as well as supervisors failed to properly inform their workers about the service bulletin/alternate baffles.
