Narrative:
On takeoff, jumbling heard down center of aircraft from 2L/right to window exits. Flight attendant X rushed up to my jump seat to relate events to me. I had not heard or felt any of related events, so called captain and had flight attendant X describe events. Captain said aircraft was structurally sound and was possibly diverting to hnl and had to drop fuel. Said to be prepared for a 'just-in-case' emergency. Landed with no further incident. During our dumping fuel, we were in cabin trying to reassure passenger. Those seated at window exits were terrified and visibly shaking. We did turn on lights to reassure of no problems, but passenger were petrified. Deplaned passenger in hnl. Air duct burst and caused this.
