Narrative:
While taxiing out for departure at kphl, we realized that the routing in the FMS was not correct, however, the first fix was correct. I told the first officer, who was the PF this leg, '...let's go ahead, I will correct it after takeoff.' we got busy, and I forgot. Shortly after crossing mxe, the first fix, ATC called and gave us a turn to intercept the airway. That is when we realized our mistake. ATC gave us headings until we corrected the route in the FMS. It is obvious we should have taken the time on the ground and programmed the correct route in the FMS before departure.

Title: BE40 FLC INCORRECTLY INPUT FMS FLT PLAN DATA DUE TO PREFLT DISTRS AND BEING ADVISED OF COURSE DEV BY ZNY.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING OUT FOR DEP AT KPHL, WE REALIZED THAT THE ROUTING IN THE FMS WAS NOT CORRECT, HOWEVER, THE FIRST FIX WAS CORRECT. I TOLD THE FO, WHO WAS THE PF THIS LEG, '...LET'S GO AHEAD, I WILL CORRECT IT AFTER TKOF.' WE GOT BUSY, AND I FORGOT. SHORTLY AFTER XING MXE, THE FIRST FIX, ATC CALLED AND GAVE US A TURN TO INTERCEPT THE AIRWAY. THAT IS WHEN WE REALIZED OUR MISTAKE. ATC GAVE US HDGS UNTIL WE CORRECTED THE RTE IN THE FMS. IT IS OBVIOUS WE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE TIME ON THE GND AND PROGRAMMED THE CORRECT RTE IN THE FMS BEFORE DEP.
